Please note that the Consulate General of Haiti will be closed to the public on the official holidays listed below. Normal services will resume on the following business day unless otherwise indicated.
The Consulate General of Haiti in New York will be closed on all official public holidays of the Republic of Haiti and on all official federal holidays of the United States, in addition to Saturdays and Sundays.
January 1st – Independence Day & New Year’s Day
January 2nd – Ancestors’ Day
May 1st – Agriculture and Labor Day
May 18th – Flag and Universities Day
August 15th – Assumption of Mary
November 1st – All Saints’ Day
November 2nd – All Souls’ Day
November 18th – Battle of Vertières Day
December 25th – Christmas Day
January 1st – New Year’s Day
June 19th – Juneteenth National Independence Day
July 4th – Independence Day
May 18th – Flag and Universities Day
November 11th - Veterans Day
November 1st – All Saints’ Day
December 25th – Christmas Day
These holidays follow the liturgical calendar and therefore fall on different dates each year. The Consulate will be closed on the following observances

Note: When a holiday falls on a weekend, the Consulate may observe the closure on the preceding Friday or the following Monday, in accordance with local regulations. Any such adjustments will be announced in advance.
For time-sensitive applications (passports, visas, legalizations and civil status documents), we recommend submitting your request well in advance of any holiday closures.
